Stay true to your school

Here's a nice thing to wake up to and read about one's alma mater.

From today's Detroit News editorial briefs:

Hillsdale's tuition freeze sets example

Gov. Jennifer Granholm's request that public universities freeze tuition has gone largely unheeded, which makes it impressive that Hillsdale College, the private school that rejects all government subsidies, is freezing tuition at 2008-2009 levels for the next year. If a college that stands on its own two feet can cut costs and freeze tuition for a year, it's hard to see why more state-supported public universities -- with the notable exceptions of Wayne State and Oakland universities -- can't do the same.

Nice.
