Good call

I've had the chance to work with AT&T in the past, so I could be a bit biased. Still, I was impressed by the company's recent announcement to invest in a new fleet of alternative-fuel cars to be built by Ford.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - AT&T Inc will spend $565 million over 10 years to replace or buy about 15,000 vehicles in its corporate fleet with cars and other vehicles that run on alternative fuels, the company said on Wednesday.

The telecommunications giant said the investment would be the biggest of its kind by a U.S. company, with struggling Ford Motor Co a key beneficiary.

Good for AT&T.  Good for Ford.  Good for Michigan.  Good for workers.  Good PR.
